TL;DR
Yes, several tools can qualify leads on WhatsApp, but only a few can also book the appointment inside the chat from your real calendar. Arlay and Aurora Inbox both do: their AI asks your questions, checks Google Calendar and books. Arlay also takes a deposit in the chat before confirming. Wati, respond.io, Gallabox, Manychat and Landbot qualify leads well with flows or AI agents, but booking goes through a Calendly or Google Calendar link, an automation tool such as Zapier or Pabbly, or a custom API call. Checked on each vendor's own pages in September 2026.
The short answer
Yes. An AI agent connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform, Meta's API, can answer an enquiry, ask your qualifying questions and book the appointment without anyone typing. The catch is the last step. Almost every WhatsApp platform now sells an AI agent that qualifies leads, but most of them hand the booking to something else: a Calendly link the customer opens in the browser, a reminder sync with Google Calendar, or an API call you build yourself.
If you need the booking to happen in the conversation, against your real availability, the list gets short. That is the difference this page is built around.
What 'qualify and book' should mean
Before comparing products, agree on the job. A tool that qualifies and books on WhatsApp should pass four tests:
- It answers free-form messages. 'How much for veneers, and does it hurt?' gets a real answer from your prices, not a menu of buttons.
- It qualifies in conversation. It asks your questions (which service, first visit or not, how many people, which day) and saves the answers.
- It books inside the chat, from your real calendar. It offers times that are actually free and writes the booking, so there is no double-booking and no link to open.
- It closes the loop. It confirms, takes a deposit if you want one, and sends reminders before the appointment.

How these facts were checked
Every line comes from the vendor's own pricing page or help center, read on 27 September 2026. Prices are before tax, and Meta's WhatsApp message fees are extra on every tool, Arlay included. Vendors change fast: if something here is out of date, write to jeanmarie@usearlay.com and we will correct it.
The tools, one by one
Arlay
Arlay is an AI receptionist built for one job: turning WhatsApp enquiries into booked, paid appointments. It replies in seconds in the customer's language, quotes only your real services and prices, asks your qualifying questions, offers free times from Google Calendar, takes a deposit before confirming and sends reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before. Clinical or unusual questions are flagged to your team, or the AI pauses so a person can take over.
Best for: clinics, medical spas, wellness studios, yacht charters and experience operators whose customers ask questions before they book. Limits: WhatsApp and text only, no phone calls and no voice-note transcription. Google Calendar is the only calendar. It does not send marketing broadcasts. Prices are not published; it starts with a free demo on your own enquiries.
Aurora Inbox
Aurora Inbox is a Mexican WhatsApp sales platform with AI agents that answer from your website, PDFs and catalog. It is one of the few tools that books natively: the agent checks real availability by service, branch and staff member, in an agenda synced with Google Calendar, and sends reminders. Its scheduling engine handles buffers, capacity and several branches.
Best for: service businesses in Mexico and Latin America, with several branches or a catalog to sell from. Limits: no in-chat payment processor stated (it records payments rather than collecting them), no free trial, and the product and support are Spanish-first.
Wati
Wati is one of the best-known WhatsApp platforms, strong on broadcasts, click-to-WhatsApp ads and Shopify. Its no-code chatbots can qualify leads, and Astra, its AI agent, can qualify with a BANT framework and scoring. Astra is a separate product with its own price. For booking, Wati's help center documents a Calendly integration that sends confirmations and reminders once the customer has booked in Calendly, and a Google Calendar connection through Pabbly Connect or Zapier that sends WhatsApp reminders for events already in the calendar.
Best for: e-commerce and marketing teams running WhatsApp campaigns at volume. Limits for bookings: the booking itself happens outside the chat or in a flow you connect yourself.
respond.io
respond.io is an omnichannel inbox for sales and support teams. Its AI Agents answer from your documents and website, update contact fields, set lifecycle stages and route leads, which makes it a strong qualification tool. It connects to Google Calendar, Calendly and Cal.com, but its help center is explicit: these integrations share booking links and show meetings in the inbox, and you cannot create or edit meetings inside respond.io. Checking live availability means calling your booking system's API yourself.
Best for: teams of five or more agents working WhatsApp alongside other channels and a CRM. Limits for bookings: the customer books through a link.
Gallabox
Gallabox sells AI agents that capture and qualify leads on WhatsApp, Instagram and web chat, and has the most complete in-chat payments of the tools here: WhatsApp Pay in India and Singapore, Razorpay, and Network International for the Middle East and Africa. For scheduling, Calendly is used for confirmations and reminders, and Google Calendar is reached through Pabbly Connect. Its own pricing page lists appointment booking on the Advanced plan but marks appointment management 'Coming soon' in the comparison table.
Best for: sales teams in India, the Gulf and Singapore that need to collect payments in WhatsApp. Limits for bookings: native calendar booking is not documented yet. WhatsApp AI agents start on the Essential plan.
Manychat
Manychat is the Instagram automation leader, and WhatsApp is one of its channels. Its flow builder collects answers into fields, which covers basic qualification, and its AI Step works inside WhatsApp flows. Its knowledge-based AI Replies are, per its help center, available on Instagram only. There is no calendar integration on its integrations page, so booking means a link or a Zapier or Make scenario.
Best for: creators and social-first brands moving Instagram and TikTok traffic into DMs. It is the cheapest entry on this list. Limits for bookings: no native calendar. WhatsApp needs the Pro plan, according to its help center.
Landbot
Landbot is a no-code chatbot builder that mixes rule-based flows with an AI agent grounded in your knowledge base, on web and WhatsApp. It is good at structured qualification. On WhatsApp, though, its help center says the Calendly block and the Stripe block are web-only, so booking and payment need webhooks or an automation tool.
Best for: marketing teams that want fine control over the conversation flow, with an EU company behind it. Limits for bookings: nothing native on WhatsApp. Your own WhatsApp number starts on the Professional WA plan.
See the booking happen in the chat
Arlay runs a free live demo on your own WhatsApp enquiries: it qualifies, books into Google Calendar and takes the deposit. No credit card.

- You mostly send campaigns and promotions on WhatsApp: Wati or Gallabox.
- A sales team works several channels and a CRM, and a booking link is fine: respond.io.

Five questions to ask in any demo
- Show me a customer booking without leaving WhatsApp. Where does the booking land?
- Does it read my real calendar, or send a link?
- Where do the AI's answers come from, and what stops it inventing a price?
- What happens when a question needs a person, and how fast can my team take over?
- What will I pay in total: plan, AI add-on or credits, extra users, and Meta's message fees?
